The PRIM range of near UV-visible spectrophotometers comprises the 'Light' for routine measurements with standard calculation modes including; absorbance, transmission and concentration with 1 standard or factor and the 'Advanced', which has three additional measurement modes; multi-standard calibration, kinetics and multi-wavelength with difference and ratio calculations. The PRIM 500 is also available with a built-in sipper module and flowcell.

PRIM spectrophotometers are ideal for educational, industrial and general applications. They are simple to operate, even for first time users and their A4 sized footprint makes them easy to transport and store.

 

Features of the PRIM spectrophotometer include:

  • Wavelength range 330-900nm
  • Easy Navigator system with 4 rapid selection cursors
  • Two position cell holder (sample plus reference, or 2 samples)
  • Up to 50 tests and parameters can be stored in memory
  • Footprint 180x280x220mm, weight 2.5kg

 

Software functions include:

  • Fixed Wavelength provides data in AU, %T or concentration and calculates Concentrations can be calculated using either a factor or calibration curves with up to 8 standards of known concentration.
  • Multi-Wavelength program allows measurement of ratio and difference of absorbance at 2 wavelengths.
    Simultaneous display of calculation results, as well as individual absorbance values, at each wavelength
    (optional external printer required).
  • Wavelength Scan provides curve of absorbance values as a function of wavelength, with detection of absorbance maxima and minima.
    User-definable scan mode using the entire or partial visible range: 330 to 900 nm, in 1nm steps, with automatic recording of the baseline.
  • Kinetics mode allows analysis of absorbance change as a function of the time. Program to include lag time and reaction time. Automatic calculation of absorbance change during a time segment, of or the total time is available.
