Precision automated microplate Pipetting system

Precision™ is a flexible, affordable and extremely compact solution for automated 96-/384-well microplate liquid handling.

The configurable multi-station platform and powerful software allow for customised applications, such as 96- to 384-well plate transfers using the same pipetting mechanism.

Proprietary pipette technology ensures that standard tips are located, picked up and reliably sealed every time using controlled force.

Options include systems with 8- or 12-channel pipette heads for either portrait or landscape orientation and a rapid reagent dispensing system.

Precision™ can be controlled standalone, by dedicated PC software and via ActiveX™ for integration into larger automated systems.

Uniquely designed pipette comprised of 8 or 12 individual free floating syringes for reliable tip pick up. Each syringe is able to move radially and vertically to accommodate differences in tip height and horizontal position. All tips are reliably sealed with equal force. After use, tips can be returned to the tip container or discarded in to the waste vessel provided.
The Precision™ work platform is entirely user-configurable, allowing reagent troughs, disposable tip boxes and up to six 96- or 384-well microplates to be positioned where they best suit an application. The platform can be easily removed for cleaning.
Precision™ is robotic compatible due to its configurable platform and XY transport mechanism.
Fast, flexible and precise automated reagent dispensing is ensured using the optional Rapid Dispense manifold, which uses a microprocessor controlled syringe pump for continuous dispensing from any reservoir in to both 96- and 384-well microplates.
Precision™ satisfies many safety issues in the modern laboratory. As a personal automated pipetting system, Precision™ reduces the risk of repetitive strain injury. The compact footprint of this instrument also make it ideally suited for use in biological and chemical safety cabinets and an optional protective safety cabinet is also available, both to prevent the spread of aerosols and to shield the operator while the instrument is running.
Precision is supplied with many common liquid transfer routines pre-installed. This enables the new operator to simply modify existing programs, as up to 80 programs may be stored in memory.
Precision Power™ PC-based software is available with a graphical interface to simplify virtually any liquid transfer operation.
